Bursary

We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to take part in a residential experience.

The Bursary Fund was set up to provide financial assistance to schools, youth groups and organisations who find funding for a residential stay hard to access, with the aim of making The Chellington Centre as accessible as possible to as wide a range of groups as possible.

Application Process
To apply for the Chellington Bursary Fund, please read the following guidance notes and then complete our Bursary Application Form.

IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY MADE A BOOKING RESERVATION, PLEASE CONTACT OUR CENTRE MANAGER PRIOR TO COMPLETING THIS FORM.

Once you have submitted your bursary application, you should hear back from us within one week. Applications are received throughout the year and dealt with within 7 working days. The decision on Bursary Funding is taken by the Trustees of The Chellington Centre Charity.

Guidance Notes
Our primary target group is young people in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. We particularly welcome applications from organisations and groups working with young people in areas of deprivation where funding is not easily available for residential activity.

Typically, this might be:

Schools/youth groups working across areas of deprivation.
Charity groups where, by the nature of the need, would only use the centre for a small number of people.
Organisations working with young people with special educational needs.
Organisations working with young people with physical disabilities.
Groups working with young people in our local community.

Feedback After Your Stay
If your group is granted a bursary award, following delivery of the residential or trip, group leaders are asked to complete a short questionnaire so that we can monitor the impact of the scheme and provide feedback to the Bursary funders. We would also welcome any photos or videos you are happy to share (and have permission to do so). Please email to: life@chellington.org
